Todowing

Todowing is an unofficial Chrome extension for Todoist. Todoist shows sub-tasks as a flat list in Today, Upcoming, Boards, Filters, and Labels, so you lose the parent-child context. Todowing nests the sub-task tree inline in those views, up to four levels deep, and lets you complete sub-tasks right in the list.

The free version covers the nesting (up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task), seven color palettes, and a text-size slider from 85% to 200%. No account needed.

The one-time unlock costs $19.99 with no subscription and includes future upgrades. It adds unlimited sub-task rows, adding, renaming, and reordering sub-tasks, hiding done sub-tasks, filing a task under a parent in another project, focus sessions with time estimates, a notes pad, a font picker with about 50 Google Fonts, and read-only Apple Calendar events on Today (up to five calendars). Refunds are available within 14 days.

Privacy: your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Tasks never pass through Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.

Works with any Todoist plan in the Todoist web app on Chrome. It does not run in the Todoist desktop app. Todowing is not affiliated with or endorsed by Doist.
